Muhammed Majeed, Ph.D.
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Muhammed Majeed was born and raised in Kerala, India.

Dr. Majeed is a Ph.D. from St. John’s University New York and has over 15 years of research experience in progressively responsible research positions with Pfizer Inc., Carter-Wallace and Paco Research.

Sabinsa Corporation, a research oriented pharmaceutical and nutraceutical marketing company, was founded by Dr. Majeed in 1988. Subsequently in1991, Dr. Majeed set up a research centre at Bangalore, India called SAMI LABS LIMITED.

Sami Labs Limited pioneered the research and development of a number of plant based actives which find interesting applications in nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Majeed has expanded progressively in the nutraceutical business. With marketing offices in many countries globally, today the group has over 57 patents and more than 100 innovative products to offer the varied needs of the market. Both Sami Labs Limited and Sabinsa Corporation have received several recognitions and awards globally.

Dr. Majeed was chosen by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO) to receive its prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2004.

This award, which is sanctioned by the U.S. Congress, is presented to Americans of diverse origins to recognize their leadership, commitment and service to their own ethnic group and to American society.

Dr. Majeed was the recipient of the Asian American Heritage Council Businessman of the Year Award in 1996.

National Federation of Indian Association (NFIA) honored Dr. Majeed with its 1996 Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Indian American Kerala Cultural and Civic Center, New York, bestowed its 1995 Excellence in Entrepreneurial Leadership by Indian American award to Dr. Majeed.

Dr. Majeed was a finalist for the 1996 NJ Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

General Manager - Business Development

A Bachelor in Science(Organic Chemistry) with post graduate specialisation in Food Technology and a Diploma in Marketing Management.

20 + Years of Techno Commercial Sales & Marketing experience earned while servicing the needs of Pharmaceutical/Food processing/Personal Care Industry in India and abroad.

Successfully completed a stint in South Asian markets for about 2.5 years for Sabinsa, before joining Sabinsa Australia as General Manager, Business Development.

Deborah Guimaraes
Sales Administration

	Miss Deborah Guimaraes is a Bachelor in Health Science with an Advanced Diploma in Medical Nutrition and has worked in the areas of Sales/Customer service in a Complementary Health Care products manufacturing company before joining Sabinsa Australia.
